Examination Stress

"A day spent without laughter is a day wasted". Although it is true for everyone, it is more appropriate for you as a youngster. Put on a smile even though a forced one, most of the so-called examination stress will reduce. Stress is nothing but a state of mental or emotional strain caused by adverse circumstances. Do you think examination is an adverse situation, not really would be the answer from most of you. You have been taking examinations for so many years now.

Then what happens to us? Why do we get stressed? If we understand the trigger point, we can handle it easily. If you notice a change in your patience or find yourself more easily triggered by slight noises or simple mistakes, consider whether you need to take a break and calm your mind.

Let us define stress as an important physiological response to prepare us for uncertain situations. When stress is moderate in us it motivates us to prepare well, put extra efforts. Whereas when stress is more it impacts our mind, body and behaviour. It impacts our memory, it leads to lack of energy, procrastination, and self-sabotaging thoughts - ultimately it impacts our learning and the process of preparation for exams. There are many other factors like the level of social support, coping style, and the kind of person you are influences your vulnerability to stress, meaning that some people are more likely to become stressed than others.

It is ok to feel stressed and by using a good copying style you can definitely overcome it. Today do a simple thing go and get a hug or give a hug to someone!
